The last year of high school and beyond, a teen is faced with a lot of decisions they will have to make that will greatly impact their lives. Granted, I am only a junior but I have already had to make a lot of decisions and have had to focus on my main goal for when I move out. There are many things a teen struggle with when they move away from home and go into the real world.
The statistics for high school teen droputs is:
Nearly 1 in 3 high school students in the Class of 2006 will not graduate this year
Now, isn't that pretty sad. 33.33% of all kids in the U.S.A. were projected not to graduate in 2006. That is quite a bit and it almost seems like the numbers could be a bit much but if you sit down and think about it, there are a lot of kids dropping out of high school for various reasons. The numbers quickly add up especially in areas of poor schooling.

I love the movie Elf! It's so funny
after high school i plan on attending Daeman. This has been a plan since freshman year. It approaching quickly considering i will be going there in the fall!! I feel like freshman year ago was so long ago! I hope to get my degree in special education with a minor i English.
I think the statistics are misleading. A lot of highly populated areas have poor education programs and therefore also have high dropout rates, such as in the cities. Still, that is a pretty high number.
Wow, that is pretty sad, that sucks.
My blog will surely cheer you up:
